Podcast: Rotary Safe Families

Rotary Safe Families (RSF) was established over three years ago by Dorothy Gilmour, and Past President, of Rotary Melbourne, Mary Barry. Since then it has become a District 9800 project.

I met with Dorothy via Zoom a few days ago and we had a chat about RSF.

RSF’s mission is to ‘Prevent family violence to Women, Men, Children, and our Elders.  We promote Family peace and harmony to save lives and avoid trauma.

Since its inception Rotary Clubs and Districts have joined the Champions’ Program, and are spreading the message of this simple yet powerful concept:

Recognise the signs

Raise your concerns whenever they arise

Refer to the right agency for support

There is no reason why it shouldn’t become as well known as other great Australian campaigns, such as ‘Slip, Slop, Slap’, or ‘If you drink, then drive, you’re a bloody idiot’.

For more information on RSF go to the website, and send an enquiry.

This is where I always draw a blank. There's a lot that I can say about me, but what's appropriate for this blog? My posts should give you an idea. I will say I am interested in most things, I'm an introvert, but very social. I am married with a 26 year-old son. I love to travel, cook, spend time on the Internet, meet new people, and hang out with my friends. I hate sloppiness, and a lack of attention to detail.
